Democrats Unveil Most Recent Batch of Jeffrey Epstein Images as DOJ Deadline Looms

The Congressional oversight panel has published a set of approximately 70 photographs secured from the holdings of former adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third publication from a cache of more than 95,000 photographs the panel has secured from Epstein's estate. It contains pictures of quotes from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and redacted images of female overseas passports.

This release arrives mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the DOJ to disclose every files connected to its investigation into Epstein.

"These latest photos bring up further questions about precisely what the DOJ has in its holdings," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photographs Released

Several of the photographs made public on Thursday feature Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private jet; Bill Gates standing next to a female whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, powerful figures to be seen in Epstein estate photos published by the House Oversight Committee - earlier published pictures also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photographs is not proof of any wrongdoing, and many of the photographed men have asserted they were not involved in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement accompanying the photograph release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not supply explanatory details or dates for the pictures.

"Photos were selected to furnish the public with openness into a representative sample of the images obtained from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's network and his profoundly alarming behavior," the release says.

The disclosure also contains several images of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in dark ink across various areas of a woman's body, like her upper body, lower extremity, hip, and rear. Lolita tells the tale of a adolescent who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

A particular quote from the book written across a woman's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of images of female identification and ID papers from nations globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the papers, including identities and dates of birth, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee stated in a announcement that the travel documents belong to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

Another photo depicts Epstein positioned at a table intimately in the company of three women whose identities have been redacted - one has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and a second is leaning to examine a adjacent device. Epstein can be seen to be helping the final person attach a wristband.

An additional photo released is a screenshot of text messages from an unidentified sender who claims they have been provided "a number of girls" and are asking for "$$1,000 for each individual".

Image Disclosure Arrives Prior to DOJ Cut-off

The panel has thousands of images in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "both explicit and ordinary," its announcement on this week clarified.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and files the Epstein estate's representatives provided to the committee are different than what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". Those are papers within the justice department's possession related to its independent probe into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which President Trump signed into law last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to publish its records. The extent of what's found in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's probable that a significant portion of the information will be heavily censored, comparable to House Oversight Committee materials
